Wild Night..

As the wind slaps thru the blinds...
The rain berating the windows, ferociously..
In sync with the spirit drums thumping in the background..
My vision blurred..

Yet I feel so safe, and calm.. in my little modest hut,
Watching nature cleansing from far..

The cool breeze envelopes me..
Washing away the cares and worries of the day..
Instantly refreshed!

I breathe in the cleansed air,
Ahhh serenity..
I smile softly.. life should be this..
Lived, Let Flow, Revived!

I pray silently..
May those out there find shelter,
May those in thirst quench it to heart's desire..
May everyone live and love..

I don't know about you, but I have always been a victim of static shock.

Getting out from the car - ZAP!

Shutting down my laptop lid - ZAP!
Opening the office door - ZAP!

Opening the post office door - ZAP!

Ok, JUST OPENING ANY DOOR with metal handle - ZAP ZAP ZAP!

It came to a point where I dreaded getting out from the car or opening any doors. I'd use my forefinger to push the car window to close the door, leaving prints on it hehe.

Or I'll rush in when someone opens the door... sigh desperate!

Till one day Momma gave me a battery and asked me to keep it with me. I was puzzled. She then told me the battery would be able to help keep me away from being zapped.

I was a lil doubtful at first... after all I can never be  too careful right?
But its true.. I haven't been zapped for some time now... (touch wood).

Here are some more ways that I found from the internet:

~ Keep our skin moisturized. Use a hydrating lotion. Yippie I could do this!

~ Hold on to a coin.

~ When you are ready to step out of the car, remain seated, but place one foot on the ground, the other foot should still be in the car. Hold onto the metal part of the car door or any metal part of the car. Keep holding on until you are out of the car, then close the car door.

Hope these help :)

Random: Attracted to Colors

After a splendid chicken rice lunch, we walked back to our car when my eyes caught something colorful.

I recognized them, and just a couple of weeks back I was asking Momma where to get more of these.

She used to buy for me 3pcs for RM10 but of late, the prices hiked up everywhere. Even Tesco is selling 1 for RM5.90! Blimey... and the morning market that Momma frequents.. they no longer sell 3pcs for RM10 as well..

Imagine my joy when I walked nearer and the display read: 3pcs – RM10

Wahey!! I started to grin and The BF chuckled “go ahead and buy, they look nice anyway and heres a purple”

After I paid for them, I saw another type 4 for RM10!

Wah nice weaves and colors are so… attracting me.

Guess what… I used my last RM10 for another 4 :D

Came back home I took some pics and here they are!

Tadaaaa…

Hahahahhahahhaha floor mats!

Told ya it was random.

Aren’t they nice? I love to have nice floor mats.. and wash them weekly.

My dog loves to sleep on them..

So they wear out kinda quick..

But now.. I’m undecided, they are too pretty to be stepped on?

I need to get my head checked – they are floor mats for pete’s sake!! :D

At 10.30pm, here I am blogging about my day from Station One. The BF is watching his footie game, and I'm just waiting to go home to snap pics of my loots, haha!

Btw, this place is NOISY as hell. You can't have a decent convo with the singers crooning loudly. Geez, so I guess this place is meant for ppl to eat in silence, you look at me and I look back at you?

Anyway it was a good start waking up early and getting ready before The BF did, haha! I'm usually the slow mo with dressing up and makeup and all.

A quick breakfast of our favourite buttered toast and eggs, with a quick flip of the newspaper. Hmm I saw some sales going on!

Spent a good few hours having Japanese lunch with colleagues.
*Bloated*

Got back home and after a quick Google, I headed to the mall and came back with:

- 4 Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks
- 2 Majolica Majorca Eyeshadows
- 1 Acmedia Clear Lotion
- 1 Ginvera Green Tea Cleanser (RM1 only!!)
- 2 Garden of Eden Serums

*Feeling slightly guilty here, but blame those deals!*

Next we watched Phua Chu Kang, and had a good laugh.

Sypnosis:
Now based in Kuala Lumpur, Phua Chu Kang and wife Rosie get a visit from Kang's beloved Ah Ma.

But even before she unpacks her luggage, Ah Ma disappears.

What happened to her? Did she run away? Why? Or was she kidnapped?

Kang's desperate search for Ah Ma leads him in an old folks home and its smarmy CEO, Lim Lau Pek, who offers Kang a lucrative contracting job. But first, he has to beat his arch nemesis, Frankie Foo, who is after the same job.

Things take a surprising turn at the old folks home when Lim takes an amorous interest in Rosie, then Kang is accused of killing one of the elderly residents.

Is Frankie behind this? What is Lim Lau Pek really up to?

Kang finds out a secret about his distant past that Ah Ma has kept from him all these year, and he meets a relative he thought was long dead.

Traumatised, Kang has to choose between business and family amid unexpected alliances.
Will our hero do the right thing?

- Rosie doesn't look as fleshy now. She has lost tremendous weight, very obvious from her sunken cheeks.
- I admire how Rosie can run wearing high heels! Lol I would have fallen face down anytime. :P
- Some touching scenes especially about old folks being dumped at the homes.. sigh I hate that feeling each time.
- Are there still conservative old folks around? Who believes that a person with a certain elements brings bad luck!? >_<

Back at home, The BF gave me a soothing massage which left me ZzzZzzzz almost immediately. I thought I remembered him caressing my face...

What a day!

Random: Totally Adorable

Haha can't help posting this up.
Was at the foodies street slurping up a bowl of curry mee when stumbled upon a stall selling knick knacks..

Then Momma saw this.. and oooh pink! Its a mini fan!
Lovely and cute, RM5.50 later it came home with us :D

Bringing this together in our upcoming trip :)

Cheers!

Swoon.... look at this!
Pic from Instyle UK Aug 2010

This is how I'd like my kitchen to be... ahh if only I can afford that 3-strorey Semi-D. I like the fact that its so well stocked, look at those jars.. so neat :)

But I'd prefer not to have white though.. wear and tear could turn it into an ugly sight.. and the sink would be moved away further eh? Chinese Feng Shui does not encourage to have the sink and the stove side by side..

Gives me the impression of a happy family :D

Now where is that Lottery Man!?

Matta Fair Penang 2010

Ahhh it is the time of the year again. A time to think how and where to spend some money :)

Have been anticipating for this event for quite some time, and its finally here!

Some days ago I was discussing this with my friend when she asked:

"Wonder how much is the entrance fees this time?" ... I went blank a while..

"Err.. since when we have to pay to get in?"
"Huh? You never pay?"

"Urmmm I don't remember paying wor! I know the one in KL charges RM3"

"Oi, think again.. perhaps its because The Bf always pay for you?"

*Sheepish grin* Owh.... maybe hor.

So yeah, entrance fee is RM2 :)
And you get a goodie bag:-

Free white coffees, oats, biscuits, kopi-o and Vico.

The Thailand Tourism booth has really great info for visitors. I asked for a Bangkok brochure and she threw in a CD and a luggage tag! :)

I also came across Leisure Travel magazine, never read any before so I got a copy at RM8. But look! It came together with:

 Loads of freebies!
- Orange juice x2
- Silky Shine Shampoo sachets x6
- Bizzy Body Tummy Flat Session worth RM280 x1
- Beauty Queen Ms Glossy Supreme Diamond Brightening Mask x1
- Ginvera Pure Olive Oil sachets x2
- Bio Essence Nugeno Men Cool Cleanser & Moisturizer samples
- Ginvera Nutri White Marvel Gel sample x2
- Nu Teen Acne Away Gel sachets x4

WHOA!?!?

So anyway, after 2-3 hours of sardining with 12653232 people and 238643651 flyers later, I have a tough question here. Where to go for holidays?

Hong Kong? Taiwan? Japan *cough*? Korea?
Out of the 4, I have not been to Taiwan... so the next tough question:

Which travel agent?

*headache* the itineraries look almost the same, price about the same too.
I don't really fancy visiting cow farms etc.. Shopping and eating and spa and hot spring would be nice...

Suggestions?
