.. And Found!

Back in around Feb/March I posted a request for help to recover my blog. However I didn't get any response and so I stopped posting for months. Tonight I had the urge to try once more before I move on to another platform. I posted another request for help.

Within an hour, I've got the solution and totally recovered my blog!
As simple as removing two lines of script (simple because a kind user helped to state which lines), but for someone who doesn't know peanuts about script - I wouldn't have known what went wrong.

Thank you kind stranger! :)
You're definitely in my 5 Gratefuls for today.

Lost!

I found out that my other blog Potions Junkie was lost.. disappeared to no-where-land and for a very very long time; have been trying to recover it. Of course it didn't work and I'm sad.

Lost the mood to continue blogging for a while.. though often my mind is churning out thoughts I would want to remember. It has been a hectic 7 months.. sometimes confusing, sometimes fulfilling.

I'm re-prioritizing my life goals at the moment. Taking time to work on a few projects that I've had in mind for a long time.

~and yeah, I'm considering Wordpress now! *I am sulking at you, Blogger!*

I'm Off The Hook

After a 2 months of No-Buys, I'm roaming free again! I couldn't wait any longer to locate my well hidden tea lights so I went ahead and bought a new pack. RM 9.99 for 50pcs.

I am really eager to use my new burners so I also got some fragrance oils from Daiso. Damask Rose and Ylang Ylang for now; also a pack of 20 cone incense. Asian Resort.. now let's see if I would feel like I'm on vacay!

Also I indulged in some craft magazines. Now who can teach me how to knit?  I'm an idiot when it comes to knitting and crocheting but I love these dolls?

June 2013 Gratefuls

June this year was very extreme. Both highs and lows at the same time..

I am grateful for:
- Haze was super bad and affecting many people. Mom fell sick quite bad. However I breezed through. Mom got well after a week. Popping vitamins must have helped.

- After a few depressing months at work, I finally got myself a break.  Time for some self pampering. The Premier Lounge at the airport was cool. Love the vibes at the airport.

- Checked into a 5/6 hotel and spend days just browsing the malls. Amazing! Food was delish.

- The Husband showered me with some designer handbags... yes, a few!!! In the same month.

- I really have the best in life. Yes work is crappy most days.. but heck I think most jobs are. But the food, clothes, shoes, bags and everything else is perfect.

Thank you life!

Vintage Tea?

The retro / vintage design tin caught my eyes when I was browsing at Food Hall. So quaint.. I wanted to collect all the designs.

But I didn't know what tea is it so I picked only 1. Turned out it is my favourite jasmine tea! Now I really want all of them.

Priced at RP 46000 at Food Hall. Alun Alun sells at about RP53000. Now when is my next trip to Jakarta? ;)

5 Gratefuls 1st June 2013

- Weather was perfect for a morning brisk walk. Not too hot with shaded places all over.

- I managed to wake up early on a weekend so that I could have breakfast with mom. On workdays I am always rushing and the only time I get to eat with mom was dinner. Perfect.

- The Husband bought me a Braun  Buffel handbag. *swoon.. still swooning* GORGEOUS!!

- My laptop works fine. I left it on for some days and it didn't hang. Wow.. how rare is that?

- Toning my arms wasn't that bad. I didn't get muscle freeze lol. Good news!

5 Gratefuls 28th May 2013

Today I'm grateful for :
- Smooth to and fro journey for work

- A supportive colleague who cares about my welfare.

- Home cooked food for dinner. My favourite soy sauce minced meat.

- Coming home to see mom taking her walk. It means she is not sick.

- My husband for being with me while I cry my heart out. I'm unhappy for random reasons. I want to get away from it all..

5 Gratefuls 27th May 2013

Today I'm grateful for:
- A cup of hot drink from the boss. It kept my from going hungry post meeting.

- My husband diligently driving me everywhere. To work to lunch and back home safely.

- Coming home to a tasty home cooked food prepared by mom. Tom yum shrimp and san yao meatballs plus veggie soup tells me that I am loved.

- My dog being healthy and able to move around. I probably seems disconnected from him but I love him to bits.

- 5 min indulgence. The best feeling in the world is to eat chocolates in pajamas at home while having my feet massaged. Nothing ever beat this feeling.

I'm a little emotional now, I don't quite know why.

Finally A Rest Day..

Or is it really?
I'm privileged to get a day off today, and I was really looking forward to a relaxing day.

Mom woke me up at 10am. I knew she wanted to let me sleep in (thankful for that). Showered and off we went first to get her herbs supplies.

Annoyance started when a message came in from the boss. I hate it when being asked about work at my personal time. Oh not just one, but plenty to last all day.

We had lunch at Winter Warmers. Blueberry Lover today with Tuna Waffle. It has been a long time since I had a long relaxing lunch. No rush for the next agenda. Just chat and eat and sip tea. And answered some bloody messages.

Daiso was next. Mom found her much sought after tool for her craft :) And I replaced my auto whisk yay! The rest were for mom.. hot bottle and cover.

Conveniently on our way we popped into Nichii. I fell in love with a grey peplum dress. Got a dress for mom too. Both costed RM200. Walked out happy and eyeing another one!

Crabtree and Evelyn was my main destination. Mom settled for Lily while I got my much loved Wisteria. Decided I shall just ignore the phone.

Mom scored another piece from Uniqlo. Beige legging jeans. I decided to be good and skipped.

We also walked out of Popular empty handed. Got some mints and some necessities and headed home.

While massaging mom's arms she mentioned that day like this feels faster. When I'm at work the hours are longer and slower :( I must spend more time with mom...

Husband got a sore throat today poor fella. He is snoring after rounds of chrysanthemum teas lol.

My annoyance is building up ad another message came in at 11pm. Just plain disrespectful. This month the emo stars are strongly  featured. So testing my patience..

Wakey Wakey

I found this at Mr DIY and tell me, isn't this pretty? So English like. And it matches my bedroom's colour scheme.

Oh yeah this girly clock is loud. So much for snoozing...

Sacred Sunday - Feb 2013

Late last night, I was reading an article from an Australian news on Sacred Sunday. What is it? Just a whole day dedicated to doing nothing :)

In our current hectic life, aren't we always doing "something"? Rushing with house chores, laundry, work, emails, surfing, watching telly, go for a movie, shop for stuffs etc. Hence we feel fatigue, tired and exhausted.

It seems that the French really know how to live life - they have Sacred Sundays lol. Not feeling sorry for doing nothing.

So I had mine today. I slept till 1.30pm, had lunch with butter toast and coffee.
Without interruptions. No dealing with laundry or phone. Just eat and savour the taste. Then I did some laundry and cleaning around the kitchen.

And when I was finally done with chores, I had the entire time on my favourite couch - reading. I finished reading "Bonjour, Happiness!" And felt really pleased. Still feeling pleased.

Washed my makeup brushes. I love using clean brushes! Happy.

Wrote a few blog entries, all the while not multi tasking. Cooked myself a healthy and delicious dinner. Leave the washing to later. Ate, and then clean up.

I didn't turn on the TV the whole day. Only after dinner, while sipping some hot green tea; just to see what is interesting. There was a show on Hong Kong embroidery and then a Miss Chinese Internation pageant. Not my type.
So turned it off and writing this blog entry.

Still feeling pleased the whole day. I'm looking forward to more Sacred Sundays.. will be organizing my coming week's wardrobe and makeup next.

Have you had your Sacred Sunday?

2013 - Happier Year Ahead

*I'm about 1.5 months late posting this. Coz of failed connection each time sigh.

What do people usually do on the first day of the new year? Continue to be merry and drinking? Or perhaps nursing a bad hangover? Maybe out shopping?

For me I love enjoying the quiet at home. However I woke up quite early for breakfast.  Early compared to my usual off days lol. Love the morning breeze, so cool and refreshing.

Breakfast was good; but with just 4-5 hours of sleep for the past 2 weeks I felt pretty dead. Soon throbbing headache came ugh.

Then I slept the best nap ever haha.  Sleep is really important to keep us healthy.

Next my annual new year routine - shopping! Hehe but thanks to The Husband... he has been encouraging me to shop, weird.

We made a dent to our wallets at Mr DIY and Guardian. Guardian is having pretty good sale today.

Came back to a quick dinner and then off being a couch potato.  Ahhh that's the end of my holidays sigh. I'm wishing for the next holidays soon..

Tried this? Strepsils Warm.

I was expecting a stronger warming sensation,  but this turned out to be quite mild.  A hint of ginger..

Not very effective for my sore throat though.  I prefer the stronger one.

It did soothe my sore throat a little, albeit slower. RM3.60 each.

Is This Cute, or What?

Random, but I think this is cute!
Miniature stationaries in a tiny jar. Its a gift, with a few office essentials.

These are not that great to use compared to their normal sized counterparts, but they are good enough when I need things done. They now earn a spot on my desk.. :)

I know it does to me!

Sigh, it is a great Sunday..
- I get to sleep in; I mean really till 2.30pm :P
- It was raining most of the day
- Loads of TV dramas to watch
- No chores waiting for me (well laundry can wait)
- There is the iPad and magazines and books

I actually started the day with a cup of oatmeal.. and it felt okay.
But I got hungry like 5 seconds after that, and conveniently grabbed a packet of chips.
Wrong move! Halfway thru I started feeling like crap.

Downed some water, and then 2 oranges - The Husband teased me about compensating bad food with good ones after. Duh! But I realised he is right - I have this really bad habit of taking junk food when I'm home and not cooking. I gave in to hunger pangs in 3 seconds and will grab anything within my reach.

So then I ordered pizza and made myself a cup of coffee...
The coffee was a mistake too. I should know myself better, that I couldn't really tolerate coffee. They upset my tummy and more often than not, makes me wuzzy.

But on cold rainy days, the thought of hot coffee is really tempting. Especially on a weekend. Anytime before 6pm is fine, as I don't want to risk being awake. I haven't really experienced being kept awake by coffee before, but do not like risking. On work days, getting a good night's sleep is vital. Or I'd be a crappy boss at work..

Look at it! So creamy and naiseeeee!
With these...

Anyway, I think this many times of feeling crappy after food is enough. I ought to really just eat healthily.. at least most of the time..

I doubt I would ever give up pizza or the occassional coffee (I'm not a coffee person by the way - I think its just a mental temptation). But probably once a month wouldn't kill.

Back to more fruit juices and veggies..

Finally, You're Here!

Yes, you! The weekend I've been dying to welcome...

Big sigh after being sick for days, I'm finally better. At least don't feel like a corpse anymore - thanks to 3 packets of Chinese herbs.

What could be better to welcome the weekend other than a good cup of warm green tea and some green tea Kit Kats? ;) Sinful but absolutely yummy. The matcha powder is quite thick, half a teaspoon could last me 2-3 cups.

To top it off, read some mags!

They now have Vivi translated into English! Yay :D

This issue focuses on massage for a slimmer face - sans bloating.

More food mags to lure me into using my kitchen!

Happy Weekend~!

Mr DIY Pruning Shear

*Snip* *Snip* *Snippp*
That is what I do every couple of weeks - harvesting my garden.

~ Misai Kucing
~ Indian Borage
~ Flowers for prayers

My old pruning scissors is about 10 years old; not so sharp anymore - time to retire..
I recently got a new pair from my trip to Mr DIY.

Gotta love the price. At RM5.50 it does a fantastic job at snipping stalks.
Very clean cut, with sturdy grip.
Does not squeak and comes with safety lock.

Great buy!
